Get over the iPhone already! April 14, 2008

Filed under: Technology — lightedpath @ 6:36 pm

haihz, come on people.. isn’t it time to get over the iPhone? if the iPhone is not yet officially sold and is proving difficult to get, why not get another phone that is similar to it, maybe even better. something to be considered is definitely the LG Viewty which spots an awesome 5 megapixel camera. other than that, it also has a loud speaker.

besides that, Samsung also has something to offer with the not-so-new F700 which is also a full touch screen phone. it even has a QWERTY slide out keyboard to make life easier. HSDPA and google maps are also included to assist. for camera-enthusiasts, there is a 3 megamixel camera onboard. Samsung also teamed up with Giorgio Armani to come up with a fashion driven touchphone. a 2.6 inch touchscreen and 3 megapixel camera is quite appealing right.

and most recently announced, the Nokia Tube is not just a rumor anymore. it shall be available towards the end of this year or maybe at the start of the next. don complain, it’s not such a long wait as a lot of people have waited about a year and a half for the iPhone. the Nokia Tube looks classier than the iPhone if you ask me. it’s also a very powerful device as it runs on 5th Generation S60. the size of the display screen is expected to be around 3-3.5inches. nothing else is crystal clear yet but it sure seems to be able to take on the iPhone, albeit being a tad late. and no, it’s a brand new handset lineup, not part of the N-series.

A phone for bloggers? April 13, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — lightedpath @ 11:12 pm

yesterday, i went for an event in IZZI, a restaurant which is located near sungei wang plaza. Samsung, in collaboration with Mobile World, were giving out phones to 16 bloggers to test for one month. these bloggers were picked by MW who chose them based on how active they are blogging and stuff like that. i went along not as one of THE CHOSEN ONES, but just as a helper since i can be considered a part-time employee of MW. seeing them getting their phones definitely made me a tad jealous. and that is why i have decided to continue blogging. i never knew that whenever my dad reminded me to update my blog, it was a big hint. ah well, just goes to show i’m an obnoxious child. anyway, this Samsung thing can be checked out at www.blogmob.mobileworld.com.my maybe i shall register and thus get to try out some phone?

PS: i also put up some pictures.. sorry it’s blur as I was using the Nokia E51 that i am testing.. the pics are found in my photo album which is found on my BLOGROLL

ever saw that movie? where it looks terrifying but is actually foolish? why do they even bother making such movies? i guess this just proves that we will watch just about anything. and this makes producers and all happy.. even such a dumb movie can probably gross quite a lot of money, enough to get them started on their next brainless-flick, enough to convince them there is an audience for silly movies, enough to let them lead a comfortable life. haihz. when will we learn

so weird.. the Malaysian way.. November 27, 2007

or is it the way of the world.. just that day, my auntie & her family was leaving for their home. suddenly, my aunt came rushing back in. my grandma asked why, she smiled in an embarrassed way and said ‘ i forgot my handbag’. so we all, around ten of us, just stood where we were and laughed politely as if she had just cracked a joke. my point is, shouldn’t one of us have gone in to help her take her handbag.. or at least offer some assistance in looking for it. sure, i was one of those laugher-politely people, but this thought only hit me much later. is it just the way of us human beings or are we becoming less courteous. well whatever it is, i have since been offering any help i can give. a small touch, but it can make a difference

PAVED PARADISE.. September 13, 2007

Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot..

i never realised the meaning of these song until 3 days ago. only when i saw it in writing, that i realised this counting crow’s song ‘big yellow taxi’ had such a powerful meaning. we are said to be oh so modernised now. we are doing it all to achieve ‘paradise’.

seriously though, is paradise filled with parking lots and tallbuildings and smoking factories? are food in paradise filled with chemicals and poisons just to keep the holes away from the apples, when it is killing us inside.

my vision of paradise was always a scene with lots of trees, fresh air, handpicked and nature grown fruits. a clear blue sky. something thatwill always leave me feeling at peace with myself and the world.

sigh. i guess we are just not so advanced and smart after all.

so easy to get a smoke. September 2, 2007

Filed under: views — lightedpath @ 9:48 pm

ops sikap ops bersih ops this ops that. the gov shud start cutting down on underage people illegally buying cigarettes. it juz seems so easy to get a smoke these days.. i have never bought one and never will( God willing ) but my frens and all seem to be able to buy ’sebatang rm0.60′ so easily. also, the police don’t seem to do anything.. my ‘frens’ smoked in open air, public during the merdeka celebrations. not juz one stick but 2 or 3. and a study conducted in malaysia also showed that primary and secondary school students make up about one-third of smokers in the country. whats the use of all these studies if nothing is done, no action is taken. malaysia is already celebrating 50 years of independence but we are faced with all these small problems which will eventually become something so big, it’s seemingly unstoppable.already 50 years of independence and we don seem to be improving, on the other hand we seem to be downgrading. declining lower and lower in pride.

nonsensical August 22, 2007

Filed under: views — lightedpath @ 1:42 pm

today, i shall write nonsensical stuff.. no idea why. maybe it’s because i got nothing to do while waiting for my turn to play computer ( using the laptop now ) anyway, feel free to agree or disagree with whatever i say.

first off, why is it always the older sibling who gets the most punishment even when he/she is not in the wrong or is the one trying to stop a fight. take this example, the other day, my brother juz got it into his head that he wanted to fight me since he was in a bad mood. sorry i can;t say as much as i like about this particular event as i don wanna completely ruin my bro’s ‘good name’ so they say. so he started fighting.. it went on for a while.. i stopped him fighting, did not even retaliate. come the next day. i get the scolding plus the punishment.. oh sure the older sibling has more responsibility just like a prefect takes the blame if the students are late for assembly.. bla bla bla.. but what the hell, don’t you at least think that some things if not most are out of our control? what did u expect me to do,  open up his head take out whatever thought he had of fighting me and then close it up with cellotape? coz ifthats what u wanted me to do, sorry to say but i have to contradict rbk or adidas or nike.. impossible is nothing is.. that’s bullcrap.

now the next thing i wanna blab about is about people being obsessed with how old they are. i talking about guyz also, so ladies, girls.. don feel lonely.. anyway u all gotta remember that all of us are old.. because of this simple thing.. nobody comes up to u and asks hw young are u? everybody instead asks how old r u? so pls.. remember that if you are old, the whole world is old with you.. if you are young, the whole world is young with u.. don ever feel lonely… blaa bla bla..

till next time, take care.. may the force be with you and man united.. God knows how much they need it.

why? why the bad students?! August 5, 2007

Filed under: SCHOOL — lightedpath @ 9:16 pm

right, i have been out of action since i don know when. oh i ave xcuses, holiday, exams.. but then i realise, or rather i remember, my dad always tells me: a person who gives excuses will nvr succeed in life. so true! so now since i have a temporary laptop ( cewah! ) anyway, this time around, i feel like expressing my views about the dumb thinking of the schools ( for want of a better word, thus the dumb ) so, once again my class has been selected for the merdeka celebrations. independence day. we all been wondering though, why the hell did the school also pick the worst class? worst class with loads of rempits and who knows what. only aboout 5 of them can dance.. others are juz fooling around.  and there, over at cochrane school where we practice, they cause trouble. only that day did they almost fight. they were nose to nose practically. with the other schools. not kissing or italian kiss or wadever, but really about to fight. luckily the school bus came juz at the right moment. so, unfortunately for those who like to see fights, they had to break it up.

so, my dear school board of governers or whatever, why not take those students off the event. well, they say its because they don have enough students, so the show must go on, and bla bla bla. my dad says that they shud put the worst classes and let the best class study ( i’m in.. haha ) but i really disagree. we, students of the best class, don’t mind working our a*ses off just for the sake of holding aloft our school name or whatever it is translated from bm to english.

i have run out of time.. need to go see the man u match, notice the need to. work together like man u i say.
